From Mr. David's Desk
Dear Torit Families,
Week One of Torit’s 19th school year is in the books! I am delighted to welcome you and your children to what promises to be a year filled with growth, discovery, and joyful learning.
At Torit, we believe that education is about far more than academic achievement. Our goal is to help children develop independence, confidence, kindness, and a lifelong love of learning.
Montessori classrooms give students opportunities to work at their own pace, pursue meaningful challenges, and become active participants in their education. We want children to leave school each day with new questions, new ideas, and a growing sense of what they can accomplish.
The beginning of the year is also a time for community building. One of Torit’s greatest strengths is the partnership between families and the school. We encourage you to attend school events, connect with other parents, and engage with the life of the community. The relationships formed here often extend well beyond a child’s years at Torit.
As we settle into routines in the coming weeks, I encourage you to be patient with transitions and celebrate small victories. A confident goodbye at drop-off, a new friendship, a first lesson mastered, or a story shared at dinner are all signs of growth. These moments accumulate over time and become the foundation for a successful year.
On behalf of our faculty and staff, thank you for entrusting us with your children. We are honored to partner with you in their education and development. I look forward to seeing you at drop-off, pick-up, community events, and throughout the year ahead.
Kind regards,
David Liebmann
Head of School
