The K Moving Up Ceremony was a lovely affair this morning, and we’re excited to have these students join us in Lower Elementary this fall: Adrian Minaya, Armin McDougal, Ida Mae Jesionek, and River Abernathy. We wish Ale Draetta all the best at his next school. All the students gave short speeches, including thoughts in Arabic and Spanish, and a song in Mandarin! Their class gift was an embroidered tapestry featuring their hand-stitched names, to be added on in future years.

See my June 9 letter below about returning faculty (all of our lead teachers!) and departures, repeated for those who missed it. A full introduction to new staff members will be shared in August.

This will be the last newsletter until late July. However, if you need anything, just write us at office@toritschool.org. Khalil will be here this summer, as will I, and we’re glad to help with any questions you might have.

We hope to see you on June 25 at Myrtle Street Playground, where we’re sponsoring Kick off to Summer, with Little Groove.

Finally, it’s summer! Who among us doesn’t look forward to sun, play, and fun? It’s the time to move at a more relaxed pace, enjoy family and friends, play outside, and live a little more carefree. I wish that for all of us. Enjoy!
