About Torit Montessori

Our mission is to educate bright and capable students in the spirit of Dr. Maria Montessori’s ground breaking methods, allowing students to explore materials, ideas and applications at their own pace, with guidance, direction and encouragement from teachers. Empowerment of the student and instilling curiosity, drive and appreciation for knowledge are fundamental goals. Our vision is to see students capable of meeting any academic challenge, with the humility and social awareness to seek the ideas, support, and friendship of others. Globalism and the history of ideas are emphasized, enabling students to understand and operate in the greater world of which they are a part.

"Torit is simply remarkable in its dedication to educating the whole child."

The Torit difference

Torit Montessori School believes in "opening minds, opening doors." From children's earliest days to the cusp of being young teens, Torit thoughtfully creates the conditions and opportunities of "a classical education for the future." Our commitment to Montessori practices and philosophy and world language acquisition is symbolized by opening doors. Our logo reflects the architecture of Spain, China, and the Middle East, a nod to Torit's many languages and many cultures, and it embraces the primary colors of childhood, honoring the potential of each Torit student.
