Montessori Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten

The Preprimary Years

Montessori Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten education at Torit facilitates social, emotional, physical and academic growth in true Montessori style classrooms. Children are guided through the three year Montessori “preprimary” cycle right through Kindergarten, or “Third Year” as it’s known in Montessori circles. Art, science, literacy, math and social studies are introduced at age-appropriate levels, laying a solid foundation for future learning.  As your child moves through the years exploring materials and curriculum, they’re being carefully prepared for that Third Year, or Kindergarten year, which allows them to then be confidently ready for our mixed-age group Montessori Elementary program, beginning in first grade. Children are encouraged to play and explore independently and with friends, with plenty of movement, music and fun woven into each day.

Literacy practice allows students to learn at their own pace and develop a solid understanding of language.
