Kristen Mansharamani, Founder and Executive Director

With an undergraduate degree from Yale, a law degree from Harvard, a background in public financing and five years as a litigator at Ropes & Gray, Kristen opened the doors of Torit in 2008 when her oldest child was two. In addition to her professional experience, Kristen's study of Classical Ballet gives her a unique perspective on the world, and she brings an eclectic combination of discipline, humor, creativity and play to all she does as Torit's Executive Director, and inspires her staff to do the same.

"Torit has grown every year since we opened, with the help of our phenomenal faculty and staff. Each of them brings a wealth of experience, a terrific sense of humor and teamwork, and an inspiring level of creativity and flexibility. I am excited to lead Torit as we continue to grow in our two locations in downtown Boston. Guiding bright and capable students toward impactful citizenship through a myriad of mind-opening experiences is my passion, and I'm thrilled to share that passion with Torit parents and teachers."

Kristen periodically writes a blog for Torit inspired by current events, with a focus on how we as a society can educate our students to be global citizens of an ever smaller world.
