Title: Teacher
Classroom: Toddler (ages 15 mos. - 2+)

I began my career in education working for the Malden Public Schools as a teacher's aide with the kindergarten through second grade age.  I quickly became known as the person who could work with children who "tried other teachers' patience."  I began working with Special Needs children and very much enjoyed the work for a number of years. However, I was always searching for a better way of teaching to the individual child and for a great team that respected every child equally. I left the schools and opened my own Art and Play center in Nahant, working for the first time with the toddler age.  By accident in speaking with someone, I learned of the Montessori method and believed that it represented exactly the way for which I had been searching.  Having enjoyed my time with toddlers, I began my Montessori infant - toddler training with NCME - NE.

My most important role for much of my adult life has been that of "Mom."  I have three grown children, with the youngest being college age.   I still enjoy my family time but now have significant time to dedicate to pursuit of Montessori educational principles and to my hobbies of art as translated into the creation of Montessori educational materials for young children.
